With preventive mediation, I can help you to strengthen your organisation’s communication skills in order to proactively prevent conflicts.

Objective:

Laying the foundations for sustainable change and resilience in a dynamic environment by:

  • Promoting open dialogue and building trust (psychological safety).
  • Increasing acceptance of change and reducing fears.
  • Creating a harmonious and productive working environment in the long term.
  • Strenghtening of the communication within the team or the organisation.
  • Use a participative approach in the concept phase of projects with several stakeholder groups.
  • Changes such as reorganisation, transformations, new processes, new/changing job profiles, strategic realignment.
  • Changing team constellations (new members, new roles).
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration in projects.
  • Co-operation with external partners.
  • Small and large teams in change processes.
  • Several teams or departments working together on an interdisciplinary or project-related basis.
  • Organisations and external partners working together on a project or affected by change.
  1. Clarification of the mandate with the client.
  2. Preparatory discussions with the parties (pre-mediation) – individual and/or group discussions.
  3. Realisation of the mediation and final agreement.
  4. Follow-up meeting(s) to adapt the measures and promote sustainability (post-mediation) – as required.

Depending on the number of people and the complexity of the topics. The practical example described below took approx. 10 hours from step 1 to 4. The follow-up was carried out by the project team.

A project team developed a new process that covered four areas. Potential conflicts were identified in two workshops and needs were clarified. On this basis, the participants optimised the process, which led to an efficient and accepted end result. In addition, the understanding between the teams improved, which was reflected in sustainably better collaboration.
